This artical is introducing Bass, Sunfish, Carp and Catfish.

Artificial baits are used to attract fish in freshwater. The target fish are usually carnivorous and aggressive fish species. The following are some freshwater fish species. 

1. Bass: It is a common name for many kinds of fish. It is considered as the most popular lure fishing fish in the world.

Lures to catch bass: Mainly all kinds of small size and medium size lures can be used to catch bass, for example, plastic worms, poppers, jigs, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, frog lures can be used.

·Large Mouth Bass: Also known as wide-mouth bass, big-mouth bass, black bass, is an olive-green fish. Original from America, it feeds on scuds, small shrimps, small bait fish, and insects.

·Small Mouth Bass: Usually brown, it is a popular game fish sought after by anglers in temperate zones of North America. Small-mouth bass lives in clearer water than large-mouth bass, especially in streams, rivers, rocky areas and tree stumps, and the sandy bottoms of lakes and reservoirs.

·White Bass: Mainly silvery to pale green in color, widely distributed throughout the United States, especially the Midwest.

·Yellow Bass: This fish is usually dark olive green on the back and silvery yellow on the belly and sides.

·Rock Bass: They are almost the same in appearance with the small-mouth bass, but are usually smaller and have red eyes.

2. Sunfish: Includes lots fish that are familiar to North Americans, including bluegill, bass, pumpkin seeds, and crappie. All of them are native to North America only.

Lures to catch sunfish: In order to catch bluegill and crappie, you can choose from spoons, minnows, spinnerbaits or plastic worms with jig heads.

·Bluegill: Sometimes called sea bream, the bluegill is known for its black spots on the posterior edge of the gills and the base of the dorsal fin. The sides of its head and chin are dark blue. It origins in North America and lives in streams, rivers, lakes and ponds. It is commonly found east of the Rocky Mountains.

·Crappie: The varieties it has include white crappie and black crappie. They are a highly regarded panfish, often considered one of the best-tasting freshwater fish.

3. Carp: A large group of fish native to Asia and Europe. They have a high sporting quality. Now it is also in the US.

Lures to catch carp
: Special mixed carp baits can be used to catch carp, small foam ball soft plastic baits, sometimes VIB and small jigs can also be used to catch carp.

·Common Carp
: Native to Asia and Europe, it has been introduced all over the world except the polar regions. They Feed on aquatic plants and insects, crayfish and benthic worms.

·Grass Carp: Has an elongated, chubby, torpedo-shaped body and has been introduced to many different countries all over the world.

4. Catfish: A large group of fish, with one of the largest size ranges in a single bony order.

Lures to catch catfish: Spinners, jigs, soft plastic, crayfish can all be used to catch cat fish.

·Blue Catfish: The largest of the North American catfish. The body is heavy, blue-grey in color, with a dorsal hump.

·Channel Catfish: The most abundant species of catfish in North America. Channel Catfish have a very keen sense of smell and taste.

·Flathead Catfish: Inhabit in deep pools, lakes, and large, slow rivers. This kind of fish is also a popular game fish.
