Some people prefer to saltwater lure fishing because fishing in the sea is more fun and challenging. Weather, ocean currents, wind, etc., can affect lure fishing. Ocean fish are also more aggressive. Below are some of the sea lure fishing fish species.

1. Sea Bass: This is a common fish name. Many fish of various families are called bass. As freshwater bass, bass is also the most popular species for lure fishing.

Fishing Lures to catch sea bass: In order to catch sea bass, the following lures can be used: diamond jigs, small fish, spoon baits, plastic herring, swimming baits.

·Black Sea Bass: As the name says, it is a bit black in color. This kind of bass can be found in inshore waters (bays and sounds) and in offshore depths up to 130 m (430 ft).

·Rock Sea Bass: It is Olive brown or bronze in color, with black spots forming vertical bars and a dark black spot in the middle of the base of the dorsal fin. Often found on offshore sandy or muddy bottoms.

·Striped Bass (Striper): They are fast and powerful fish. They have silvery sides and white belly. Also, they have seven or eight black stripes on their sides. Young fish smaller than six inches have no stripes.

2. Bluefish: This kind of fish is a moderately proportioned fish with a broad, forked tail. The spiny first dorsal fin usually folds back into a groove, as does its pectoral fin. Usually caught by shoreline anglers from beaches, jetties and piers.

3. Bonefish: Bonefish colors range from very silvery sides and slightly darker backs to olive green backs blended with silvery sides. The slight shading on the scales usually results in very soft subtle lines on the sides of the fish from the gills to the tail. The bases of the pectoral fins are sometimes yellow. It lives in inshore tropical waters and moves to shallow mudflats to feed with the incoming tide.

Fishing Lures to catch bonefish: For catching bonefish, the following can be used: jigs with plastic tails, bucktail jig, spoons, plastic shrimps. If you're not a purist and want to increase your chances, you can tip your jig with a little shrimp, conch, squid, or anything else around.

4. Cobia: it has an elongated fusiform (spindle-shaped) body, a broad and flattened head. The eyes are small and the lower jaw slightly exceeds the upper jaw. Fibrous villi-like teeth line the jaw, tongue, and roof of the mouth. The fish body is smooth, with small scales. It is dark brown with a fading white belly and two dark brown horizontal bands on the flanks.
