Types of Fishing Lures - Lead Sinker

There are various types of sinkers, including lead sinkers and tungsten sinkers. A pendant is a weight that can be used in conjunction with a bait or hook to increase submersion depth, anchoring ability, and casting distance. The sinker may be as small as a gram in shallow water, smaller for fly fishing, or as large as several pounds depending on the water depth. Their finished products come in countless shapes and can be used for a variety of fishing methods. Lead material pollutes the environment, so fishing weights are sometimes made of other materials.

Most fishing sinkers are made of solid lead. Lead in fishing sinkers can cause lead poisoning. Lead dust from fishing sinkers can contaminate the surfaces of tackle boxes, tables, and other items.

The producing technique of lead sinker is pressure casting, same to the lead head of spinner bait.
