Types of Fishing Lures - Hard Lure

Hard baits are plastic and shaped like bait fish or other sea creatures that the fish like to eat. Hard baits come in many colors, shapes and sizes. They have hooks and an internal sound system called the internal rattle system to attract fish. Hard Lures can also have jointed model types. The diving depth of the hard lure also varies:Some are in upper water, some are submersible and can reach great depths. Hard bait is a great bait for trolling - deep water baits and are very effective for catching pike, zander, salmon, etc.

Hard baits are generally preferred when the location of the fish in the lake is unknown. They can cover large areas of  water in a short period of time. Crankbait or jerkbait is the ideal bait for exploring new waters. When the fish is in an aggressive mood, the hard bait is a great option for enticing the fish to attack. When the fishing water is clear, the hard bait can be cast for a long distance, so as to avoid scaring the target fish when the hard bait falls into the water at close range.
